Penalty for Wrong Answers
- Each question comes with four options. If you pick the wrong answer, they’ll take away one-third (0.33) of the marks for that question.
- If you mark more than one answer and only one is right, it still counts as wrong, and you’ll get the penalty.
- But if you leave a question blank, you won’t lose any marks.
IFS Mains Exam Pattern for UPSC
UPSC IFS Prelims Previous Year Question Papers:- A written test plus an interview test make up the Main Examination. Six traditional essay papers in each of the subjects will make up the written exam.
The following papers make up the written exam:
- General English Paper I: 300 Marks
- General Knowledge Paper II: 300 Marks
Any two subjects may be chosen from the list of optional subjects for Papers III, IV, V, and VI. There will be two papers for each subject, each worth 200 points.
